Equity in the Center is looking for an Editor-in-Chief to lead editorial and strategy for the Anti-Racism Daily (ARD), a media platform dedicated to dismantling white supremacy. This individual will work alongside the founder as she transitions from the organization, and lead the organization and its team in an exciting new chapter. This role is ideal for an experienced, passionate individual that’s eager to lead a fast-paced startup.
Desired Start Date: Mid-September
Full-Time: 32 hrs/week
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: $110,000-$120,000, plus benefits
The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for:
- Leading the editorial strategy across newsletter, social media, and website
- Managing the Managing Editor, Assistant Editor, and freelance writers
- Collaborating with EiC’s senior leadership to align ARD’s operations
- Supporting the alignment of ARD and EiC’s resources, operations, and strategies to amplify reach and impact
- Managing the one-time and recurring subscriptions
- Monitoring cash flow, user retention, and engagement
- Reporting on user growth
